In Malta we have a saying for this month stating “Frar ifawwar u jimla il-bjar” which translates to February fills and topples the wells. This year, February is looking like it's going to keep with it's tradition, and prove to be a very cold and wet month. However this will not interfere with life at Brokenaxe as business continues as usual. February will host two events this year which are very popular in Malta and can be quite lucrative to businesses. These are Valentine's Day and Carnival. Marketing for these two events have already started on all the different types of media and are already proving to be worth the costs as a lot of people have already started to buy gifts for their Valentines and costumes for Carnival. The first two weeks of December, proved to be quite busy for us and saw the finalisation of different projects. The Rose shop website was launched and other projects with regards to both web and print where completed and installed. The management at Brokenaxe, decided to give their staff a well-deserved break from the 21st of December to the 4th of January. All things come to their end so after two weeks of holidays we came back, rested and ready for action. In January, things started at a slow pace however it soon picked up and after some time everything was back to the normal routine. With the New Year came new marketing strategies for our clients, and have started planning different campaigns and strategies for the months to come. Some new clients also joined the Brokenaxe family in January and some interesting projects have started. So we hope that everyone had a good Christmas and wish everyone a good and prosperous 2012.

With the growth of our company Brokenaxe, we decided to divide the team into six departments which we mainly focus on. Each department contains individuals who are professionals in their field and who can assist clients in their specific needs.

In order for you to understand our services better and make our site more user friendly, we enlisted the help of some alien friends of ours called "The Bxians".

With our new website, we decided to go back to basics and really focus on the content displayed and not the extra extravagant features which might distract the user from its main aspect of the website. The website now conform to the latest HTML 5 specifications and directions by W3c Standards.

All the departments have a mini site incorporated within our main website so that clients can have a better interaction with the service we offer. As part of our new branding campaign, the website has been designed in black and white which are now are official colors. Our Facebook page has also been upgraded with a new tab which has a validation to allow Facebookers who click the like button only to see the information about us.

From now on our web design and development department will be called bxWorx. This happen for a reason as we want you distinguase that our Web Team is more specialised in delivering web solutions, meaning we use our stuff to focus on one thing along.

2010 been a great year for brokenaxe with the expansion of the team, the move to the new offices in Gzira, launch of our new website, the major upgrade of our data centre all was done by our professional team and more to come in the beginning of the 2011. We will be closed from the 22nd December to the 4th of January; we wish you a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

Mid-June saw the switching over to summer hours from 0900hrs-1400hrs GMT+2 (14th June 2010 to 13th September 2010). The beginning of summer also saw the launch of a completely new website for Hair & Makeup by Diane, an in-depth upgrade for the Jokate website as well as the relaunch of Ira Losco's updated site.

Ira wanted to have more control over her website and allow more interaction with her fans. We integrated a blog manager as well as revamping her store solution, sponsors page and redesigning her monthly newsletter.

Acroline Imports and Elisa's Beauty Lounge & Nail Bar also had sites developed & launched by the Brokenaxe Team and are already reaping the benefits of investing in their first online presence. Acroline has already upgraded to a mutiple gallery manager to display all his product ranges and Elisa has introduced an offers page to effectively promote her latest summer offers.

Malta Young Sailors were also very happy to be presented with their revamped site. Their brief was to launch a new site which was more user-friendly with a stronger sailing theme whilst being more appealing to the younger generatiion. We got great feedback from adults and kids alike!

Seems like June was the month for the young ones since it also saw the release of the site for Malta's first kids gym at Spinach Fitness Club. Alan of Spinach wanted a fresh and clean design with an emphasis on navigation geared primarily for kids whilst also offering the relevant sections and pages for parents and partners. Ira Losco is a great artist with her wall of fame including collaborations, concerts and festivals with well renowned international acts such as Elton John, Tokyo Hotel, Katie Melua, Mel C, Bob Geldof, Duran Duran, Bob Sinclair, Maroon 5, Akon and many others.

When it came to designing a website from scratch for such an artist we all knew this site had to reflect her ground-breaking success and cutting-edge style. Collaborating with the design flair of Socrude we managed to build a site suitable for such a huge artist. The site is a cocktail of Indie, revival and a touch of grunge that incorporates Ira Losco's love for music.

Incorporating the latest design & animation concepts into a totally updateable website gave Ira total flexibility to update her content online. Our easy to use Brokenaxe CMS meant she could just log on and change content at will keeping her fans up-to-date with the latest news.

So impressive was the finished product that Ira Losco went on to win Best Website 2009 in last year's Coca-Cola Malta Music Awards!
