By taking an offsite backup you are not endangering your data, it does not matter what format you give us your data in, whether it is compressed, encrypted or password protected we do not tamper with your data in any way, we do not even have access to the storage location where your data is located, only the person uploading the data and the local machine have access to it. We actually require that your data is at least 128bit encrypted for both the safety of the data, and your peace of mind that we are not leaking sensitive material. Logins into the system are tracked and recorded, a very tight security policy system is in place and if any malicious data is uploaded the account will be immediately banned until an investigation can be carried out.
